Aultman Alliance
Copywriting, Content Management, Website Building
Insight: Aultman Hospital systems acquired the Alliance Community Hospital in late 2017, finalized in January of 2018.
Opportunity: The Alliance Community Hospital website was outdated and did not reflect the branding or full breadth of services provided by the healthcare providers at the new Aultman Alliance Hospital. A full rewrite of copy and web design were in order.
Additional Details: I was given the task of writing the copy for the entire website, building the site in SilverStripe, and training Aultman Alliance employees on how to make edits and additions to the website. Our creative director and head copywriter had a full-plate and suggest I (an intern at the agency at that time) tackle the project. I was taken aside by the CEO and COO who reserved doubts about allowing an intern to handle such a project. “If you fuck it up you’re gone, this is a very important client.” I wrote 220 pages of copy and built the site a month prior to our deadline.
Results: A beautifully crafted website that both dramatizes the position of Aultman healthcare (leaders in health, close to home) and accurately depicts the technical abilities of the providers at the hospital. Both of our key metrics have seen a positive turn around — bounce rates have dropped 20% and time on page is up 30 seconds compared to the previous site.
